I'll Add Points To All Things

Chapter 201: Someone’s Up To No Good!

Chapter 201: Someone’s Up To No Good!

Suppressing his anger, Su Yang went back to the back room and asked Deeny to release Sanque and Pool. The milk tea shop would then be left for them to continue managing it.

The inspection was already over for today, so it wouldn’t be a problem for them to come out.

As for tomorrow’s inspection... Let’s talk about that tomorrow!

It wasn’t that simple, and Su Yang felt that he had to find out the root cause.

With that in mind, Su Yang called the landlord again after the shift, intending to meet him.

It was probably because he was aware that he was in the wrong or some other unexplained reason, that the landlord gave a myriad of excuses this time, saying that he was busy and unable to come out to meet him.

As he hung up the phone, Su Yang secretly cursed. ‘Do you think I can’t find you even if you don’t come out?’

Just as the thought passed through his mind, his phone rang again with an unfamiliar landline number flashing on the screen.

Su Yang picked up the call. “Hello, who are you looking for?”

A calm voice was then heard from the other end of the call. “Hello, I’m from the Baoshan District Net Information Office. You’re Su Yang, right?”

Hearing the voice on the phone, Su Yang’s heart thudded. “Hello, yes. What can I do for you?”

The voice on the other end of the phone replied, “Did your company create an app called ‘Find Me’?”

Su Yang’s insides reeled. “Yes.”

The voice on the other end of the call continued, “If it’s convenient for you, please come to the Internet Information Office. Someone reported an incident of obscene pornographic content along with some illegal information being on your app. The Internet Information Office, Internet Police and Cultural Enforcement Bureau will be conducting an interview with you. What time will you be available?”

Su Yang’s temples were bulging as blood surged to his head. His hands and feet were also a bit clammy. “I... I’m available today.”

The voice on the other side of the call replied, “Okay. In that case, come to the district government at 3pm today. After registering your information there, someone will bring you to the conference room.”

Su Yang agreed. “Okay.”

Hanging up the phone, he exhaled two deep breaths.

‘Depressing, too depressing! I can’t believe I’m being interviewed!’

Su Yang forced himself to calm down. ‘This wasn’t right, absolutely not!’

Su Yang found a place to sit down and shook his head to clear it as he began sorting the information he had. All these things began from the moment the milk tea shop gained popularity.

First, the landlord came to ask for a rent increase.

Then the Market Supervision Administration suddenly called to announce an inspection of the milk tea shop.

To top that off, their own agent caused half a day’s worth of delays and only informed him about it on Sunday night.

Today, the person who came to inspect implied to him that such inspections will be carried out frequently.

Finally, the Find Me app was going to be inspected while he gets interrogated.

Doesn’t everything seem like too much of a coincidence?

Could a landlord be capable of so many things? Was it possible that he would report an app created by his other company to raise the rent? It’s not even logical!

Su Yang’s eyebrows furrowed deeper and deeper. Deep inside, he had this tugging feeling that this issue was not as simple as it seemed.

Just when he was almost completely out of ideas, a bolt of lightning suddenly flashed through his mind.

He quickly brought Deeny out and called Wang Dong.

“Beep beep...” The call connected.

Before Wang Dong even spoke, Su Yang interjected, “Wang Dong! Is there anything you want to tell me from the time when the Junqing Company called you?”

The question was so sudden that it stunned Wang Dong. After some thought, he replied, “No, there isn’t. They didn’t say anything.”

Su Yang frowned. “In that case, has our company encountered anything else recently?”

Wang Dong replied, “Yes. The company’s business has become increasingly difficult to negotiate lately, and a few of the companies we’ve been working with have even withdrawn themselves from collaborating with us.”

Su Yang asked, “Why didn’t you say anything?”

Wang Dong fidgeted for a moment before replying, “You’ve entrusted me with the corporate side of things, Director Su. It’s that, and our department has been looking for new businesses, so we’ve barely been able to maintain balance. It just feels like this kind of trivial matter doesn’t have to bother you anymore.”

Su Yang took a few deep breaths and kept silent.

After hanging up the phone, Su Yang had a rough guess in mind. ‘The Junqing Company... You’re probably the ones who’re up to no good, right?’

Su Yang could still remember the first time he went to the Junqing Company, Wang Dong told him, “The boss of Junqing Company is extremely influential in Shanghai. They get a lot of business offers from business owners just for the sake of building connections.

‘If that’s the case... Then everything can be explained.’

Su Yang put down the phone and looked at the time. There were still a few hours left before the appointment.

Su Yang went to the supermarket to buy a bunch of grapes, and didn’t have time to wash them. He directly took out the [fruit-loving pen] and a book from his phone.

He then picked a grape, put it in his mouth, held the pen, closed his eyes, and bit into the grape.

As the grape exploded in his mouth, Su Yang chewed while imagining the landlord’s face and name. When signing the rental contract, the landlord had left his real name.

For a moment, the pen moved, and it guided Su Yang’s hand to write an address in the book.

Su Yang opened his eyes, looked at that address, and waved his hand directly to hail a taxi to that place.

The taxi stopped in front of a mahjong parlor.

Through the door of the mahjong parlor, Su Yang saw a number of old men and women playing inside, and the interior was a bit of a mess.

Su Yang paid the fare while playing with an hourglass in his hand, and walked in.

Seeing a stranger walk in, the old men and women all looked in curiosity.

Su Yang ignored them, but looked around the room with a stern gaze before locking his eyes on the panicked landlord.

Su Yang said with a smile on his face, “Uncle Fang! What a coincidence it is to even be able to meet you here.”

The landlord looked nervous. In his eyes, the current Su Yang was like a fierce beast that seemed like he could pounce and bite him at any moment.

Just as he panicked, Su Yang heavily slammed the hourglass in his hand on the table nearest to him.

“Bang!”

The sound waves spread as if they were visible to the naked eye. As the waves traveled through, everything it passed through seemed to stand still.

Space began to rotate. Everyone and everything was drawn into the vortex before being drawn into Su Yang’s eyes.

A moment later, when Su Yang opened his eyes again, he appeared in Uncle Fang’s memories.

Su Yang didn’t waste any time, but instead he toggled the memory sequence backward. He wanted to check out Uncle Fang’s recent memories to see if it was him or someone else who was stirring things up!

Soon, the memory sequence came to a halt when Su Yang was in a restaurant. A man in a suit was talking to Uncle Fang, “Uncle Fang, why don’t you rent your milk tea shop to me.”

Uncle Fang waved his hand. “I can’t. I’ve already signed the contract.”

The man in the suit replied, “Don’t you want to hear the price? After all... a contract can be broken.”

Uncle Fang’s drooping eyelids lifted but he pretended to be uninterested. He asked, “What price are you offering?”

The man in the suit held out his fingers. “Twice. I’m willing to pay twice the amount.”

Uncle Fang’s expression was one of shock.

The man in the suit saw the expression on Uncle Fang’s face and added, “We’ll even pay the penalty.”

Su Yang frowned at the suited man. Was he the man competing with him?

Su Yang continued to swipe backward on the holographic panel, trying to see if he could get more useful information.

Soon, the imagery stopped. It was still the same restaurant with the same two people.

Uncle Fang. “Gee, I really can’t help it, he raised the price.”

The man in the suit drank his water. “How much?”

Uncle Fang’s eyes rolled.”Ah, it’s 12,000. He’s paying 12,000 a month.”

The man in the suit was startled as he replied, “Hold on, I’ll ask my leader.”

After saying that, he got up and took a few steps to the side to take out his cell phone for a call. “Director Qiao, the landlord said Su Yang is offering 12,000 a month.”

Su Yang leaned in close to the microphone and heard a woman’s thunderous voice, “Raise him! No matter how much he offers, let’s double it. Just drag down those three companies of his and see what kind of bottom line he still has in refusing to be acquired by the Junqing Company.”

The man in the suit replied cautiously, “Director Qiao, but buying this store is useless for us.”

The voice over the phone replied, “You’re such a fool! Do you think we really have to buy it after making the deal?”

The man was speechless, and so was Su Yang.

With just a few lines of dialogue, Director Qiao’s image in Su Yang’s heart had materialized. ‘This person is so ruthless.’

...

A simple explanation — One is able to find out all the other companies that another person runs via the name legally registered in the corporation. That was why Junqing was able to pinpoint several of Su Yang’s other companies.
